Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie

I received a lot of gifts this Christmas. Thank you to my family and friends! :) And speaking of Christmas gifts, my good friend sent me these packs of bagels from Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie.

I was very excited since that was my first time to taste bagels. I wouldn't have no idea what bagel was until my friend gave those from Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie. So, I asked my friend where did she get those bagels. She told me that Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie is owned by his friend Marco Abesamis, a professional photographer turned chef who specializes in Artisan/Specialty breads and pastries known in different countries worldwide. Wow! It made me think that these bagels must be good! :)

Before eating, I checked the package and read the instructions.

Our oven toaster wouldn't function properly, so I heated the bagels in the pan for 5 minutes (I guess). By the way, I got all available variants of Bakersville bagels. Yehey! :) The 5 variants are Plain, Savory Onion, Roasted Garlic, Whole Wheat and Cinnamon Raisin.

I like all the 5 variants but my favorite is Roasted Garlic. What I love about it is that I can taste the garlic in the bread plus it is crusty and chewy! :) It's healthy too because Bakersville is using honey instead of sugar, no milk, egg and oil (little Canola oil if needed). Did I say that these bagels are handmade?

PILIPINAS GOT TALENT Season 3 - SYNERGY

I just want to share with you this awesome and great performance of SYNERGY, one of the finalists of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3. I got the chance to watch their one of a kind production number last Sunday. So, I searched for it in YouTube and voila! Enjoy watching!

Figaro's NEW Gourmet Feast

FIGARO's GOURMET FEAST

I was lucky to be one of the invited guests to the launching of the newest addition to Figaro's menu last month. I guess you already heard about it. It's  Figaro's "Gourmet Feast" which has 3 different but equally delicious dishes. These are Bacon Wrapped Asparagus, Pork Salpicao and Fish Steak.

If you're the adventurous one when it comes to food and want something unusual, then you must try Bacon Wrapped Asparagus. It was described as "asparagus stalks wrapped in maple-cured smoked bacon anf basted with special sauce." I like the combination of sweet and crunchy asparagus stalks and salty bacon.

For the health-conscious people, Fish Steak is perfect! Tuna or Tanigue fish was marinated in olive oil, wine, lemon juice and seasonings and then pan fried. I like the tenderness and sweetness of the fish. I recommend this to all fish lover. A must try!

And my favorite among the three is Pork Salpicao. It is stir-fried pork with Salpicao sauce and lots of crunchy garlic bits. Yummy!!! That's all I can say. :-)

What are you waiting for? Try all of them! :-) By the way, each dish is served with a side dish, a pastry bar, a glass of iced coffee and either steamed rice or French baguette. ANGEL'S PIZZA PASTA COMBO'S NEW BREADED CHICKEN BOWLS (REVIEW)

Last Thursday, I was given the opportunity to try Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo's NEW Breaded Chicken Bowls. Yes! It's breaded chicken bowls! They were delivered to our house with no extra fee. :)

Of course, when the breaded chicken bowls were delivered to our house, I took some pictures. Here they are:

The three variants of Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo breaded chicken bowls are Chicken with Creamy Sauce, Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Parmigiana. I was lucky I got to try them all. :)

Let's start with Chicken with Creamy Sauce. It is a bowl filled with breaded slices of chicken drizzled with creamy sauce mixed with steamed corn and carrots on top of steamy rice. I love carrots and corn plus I love the taste of creamy sauce blended with the crispy breaded chicken so I definitely like this one.

Chicken Parmigiana, on the other hand, is a bowl filled with breaded slices of fried chicken layered with cheese and tomato sauce baked to perfection on top of steamy rice. This one is my favorite. I didn't expect it to be delicious but it was really good. You must try it! I swear you'll also gonna love it. :)

Lastly, Chicken Teriyaki would be the best choice for those who love Japanese food. This was really special since the chicken meat was dipped and brushed with teriyaki sauce several times before and during cooking to have that crispy, nutty and sweet texture. Sounds delicious, right? It also tastes good! :)

Angel's Pizza Pasta Combo's Breaded Chicken Bowl is a complete meal (with regular iced tea) and is now available at all their branches. You can dine in or have it delivered (again, with no extra fee). Did I mention that one breaded chicken bowl is only Php95? Very affordable, isn't it?

It's just sad that we won't see Megan Fox in this movie but don't you worry because an equally gorgeous English model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, replaces her. Also starring are Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Ramón Rodríguez. And with returning voices of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, and Hugo Weaving as Megatron. TOP 5 FAVORITE PILIPINAS GOT TALENT SEASON 2 FINALISTS

I was overwhelmed by the performances of the 14 finalists of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2. They were all good! The 14 finalists have exceptional talents, but only some have that X factor. Those are the ones who stood out last night because of their showmanship. So now I give you my top 5 favorite PGT finalists. Here they are:

#5 FREESTYLERS
Freestylers was the first group to perform last night and they set the fire on stage. Ai-Ai delas Alas even said that they were not humans, they're 'bakulaw'! hahaha!!! Watch this video (taken from last night's PGT final showdown) to see for yourself. :)




#4 MARCELITO POMOY
Marcelito used to sing like the voice of Regine Velasquez but last night the audience applauded when they heard him sing like Martin Nievera's voice. Great surprise indeed! :)



#3 ANGEL CALALAS
When I first saw Angel Calalas' awesome performance during the semifinals, I knew Angel would make it to the finals. And I was right! :)

I just received an email with the subject, "Do you actually know what you want to do with your riches?" I was asked to write 100 things I want to do or things I want to have or want to be. Actually, I usually do this kind of stuff every new year or during my birthday (By the way, I just celebrated my birthday yesterday. timing, right?) But those are just my goals for the coming year. MY FAVORITE CONTEST PRIZES

For this post, I will reveal one of my biggest secrets (but not to my closest friends and family members). I got addicted to it these past few months especially when I had nothing to do and I was really really bored. It's not what you think, ok? I'm talking about me joining contests, giveaways, promos, etc. online. But would you blame me for being addicted to it? Here are the reasons why I got hooked.

Happy Independence Day!

Finally, I have my own blog. :) It took me a few months to decide whether to blog or not, a day to create my profile, a few minutes to try my luck for the blog url and title, and a few hours to ponder on what to write for this post. This is it!

And since this is my first ever blog post, I would just like to make this brief.

We, Filipinos, are celebrating our 113th Independence Day. Mabuhay! Let's recall what happened that day. Joke! Of course, I'm not going to discuss about Independence Day but my own independence. In time for my upcoming birthday (please don't dare ask my age, I'm serious! haha), I remembered my 18th birthday (not so long ago) because for me, that was my Independence Day. That was my first time to go to a bar and party 'til morning with my friends/blockmates in UP. It was fun and memorable. We really had a great time! :)
