FIGARO NEW ITALIAN PASTA AND COFFEE

Hi! It's been a long time since my last post. I'd been busy working but now I'm back!

Let me tell you about what I discovered this week. It's the Figaro's new pasta bolognese, ube ensaymada, blue velvet cake and salted caramel latte. Sounds yummy?

Figaro's pasta bolognese is one of my favorite pastas I've tried so far. The sauce tastes good. Thumbs up for me. For those who love creamy pasta, you may try Sausage Alfredo Pasta instead.

Figaro's Ube and Mongo Ensaymada

If you want ube and ensaymada at the same time, why not try this Ube ensaymada by Figaro? I like the combination of ube, bread and cheese. I love this ensaymada! Perfect for a cup of coffee this rainy season. Figaro also has monggo ensaymada for only Php 65 per piece.

Speaking of coffee, I tried their new salted caramel latte. I love the taste of caramel and coffee. They also have Irish cream latte (hot and cold). I think they just released these new products last week.

I'm not done yet because there's still dessert. It's blue velvet cake. For a sweet tooth like me, this is definitely a winner. :)

FIGARO's HEALTHY PANDESAL and DINNER MEALS

It's summer once again! so hot! During this time of the year, it's fun to be here in the Philippines where you can enjoy the beach and flaunt your bodies. Pressured to get that beach body? You don't have to worry about that anymore. I discovered something that would help us to get fit and healthy with no surgical procedure. Earlier this year, Figaro launched its healthy pandesal and dinner meals.

Let's start our day with Figaro's healthy breakfast, Malunggay (Moringa) Pandesal with Tuna or Asado filling. Malunggay is full of nutrients - a good source of calcium, Vitamins A & C, potassium, iron, protein and beta carotene. Very healthy, right? And not only that,  both asado and tuna fillings are delicious. Two thumbs up! :-)  Experience this healthy breakfast with bottomless brewed coffee for only Php99 from 6 to 11 AM everyday. You won't regret it. Promise! ;-)

For dinner, we have two healthy choices. They are Chicken Rice Bake and Tofu Steak Rice.

For those chicken lovers, you'll gonna love Figaro's Chicken Rice Bake. It's a cup of rice in creamy sauce with chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots topped with mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection. Yummy!

For those vegans and health conscious, Tofu Steak Rice is perfect for you. Tofu is known to be a good source of iron, copper, manganese, selenium and omega-3 needed by our body. It also helps us lower our cholesterol level and avoid atherosclerosis or diabetic heart disease. And with the special sauce, Im sure you'll gonna love this meal!

By the way, the dinner meals are paired with a glass of lemonade for only Php150.

Figaro's Dinner Meals

SUMOSAM's 10th BRANCH IN GREENHILLS TOWN CENTER

Sumosam opened its 10th branch in Greenhills Town Center just recently. For over 6 years, Sumosam has been one of the famous Japanese restaurants in the Philippines. [Well, for me, it's one of my favorite restaurants. :)] Aside from the variant menu selection, families and friends dine in Sumosam to experience Japanese food in huge servings with reasonable price and high quality service. 


What makes Sumosam GTC branch different from other Sumosam branches? It is the first branch located outside of a shopping mall and it offers bento.

I love Japanese food. It's always been my appetizers when we go to buffets. :) I'm happy that Sumosam GTC has bento (a little bit of everything!). I tried their Samurai's Choice which includes chicken teriyaki, beef misono (US beef knuckle), dory tepan, tuna and sashimi, kani stick, bean sprout, yasai itame, gohan, dilis, and rice. I love everything especially the dory tepan. Hope it comes with a free drink. :)

There are other bento meals aside from Samurai Choice. They are available daily from 11 AM - 2 PM only at Sumosam GTC branch.

AntiGravity Yoga at Beyond Yoga (Manila)

One of my New Year's resolutions this 2012 is to stay fit and healthy. Aside from balanced diet, I'm willing to try yoga and pilates. Speaking of yoga, I heard that AntiGravity Yoga will be launched here in the Philippines early this year. Beyond Yoga, the Philippines' premiere yoga studio, will bring this in our country. FIGARO MILK TEA CRAZE

During the holidays, I discovered something new and extraordinary from Figaro and I loved it. It is the NEW Taro Pudding Chiller Feast.

I have learned that Figaro just launched it late last year in time for the holidays. There are other 4 drinks namely: Strawberry Milk Tea with Yakult, Raspberry Milk Tea with Yakult, Taro Pudding Milk Tea and Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea.

What I love about Taro Pudding Chiller Feast:

   - It's refreshing.

   - I love the combination of taro, pudding, corn flakes, and sago.

   - It's sweet (no need for dessert).

Last week, I tried Raspberry Milk Tea with Yakult. I fell in love with it! hahaha!!! To those who love Yakult in their childhood days, you must try it! I swear!

Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie

I received a lot of gifts this Christmas. Thank you to my family and friends! :) And speaking of Christmas gifts, my good friend sent me these packs of bagels from Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie.

I was very excited since that was my first time to taste bagels. I wouldn't have no idea what bagel was until my friend gave those from Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie. So, I asked my friend where did she get those bagels. She told me that Bakersville Boulangerie & Patisserie is owned by his friend Marco Abesamis, a professional photographer turned chef who specializes in Artisan/Specialty breads and pastries known in different countries worldwide. Wow! It made me think that these bagels must be good! :)

Before eating, I checked the package and read the instructions.

Our oven toaster wouldn't function properly, so I heated the bagels in the pan for 5 minutes (I guess). By the way, I got all available variants of Bakersville bagels. Yehey! :) The 5 variants are Plain, Savory Onion, Roasted Garlic, Whole Wheat and Cinnamon Raisin.

I like all the 5 variants but my favorite is Roasted Garlic. What I love about it is that I can taste the garlic in the bread plus it is crusty and chewy! :) It's healthy too because Bakersville is using honey instead of sugar, no milk, egg and oil (little Canola oil if needed). Did I say that these bagels are handmade?
